Miss Monochrome (ミス・モノクローム Misu Monokurōmu?) is a Japanese virtual idol under King Records, and the main protagonist of the anime Miss Monochrome -The Animation-. She originally was a character created by Japanese voice actress Yui Horie for her concert "Horie Yui wo Meguru Bōken III ~Secret Mission Tour~" (堀江由衣を巡る冒険Ⅲ ~Secret Mission Tour~?).
Bio[]
She is an idol who lives in a white-techno castle with her robotic friend, Ru-chan. She was betrayed by her "manager", Mana-chan who took 19.3 billion of her money. As she wanders in the street after the incident, she bumped into Manager Maneo, dreaming of becoming an idol - who must have a manager first. She currently works at a convenience store.
Miss Monochrome was an idol hundreds of years in the past alongside a rival. However, due to an alien invasion her rival was killed. They made a promise that when her rival was reborn they would be idols together once more. Miss Monochrome waited many years in the same spot for her rival to be reborn until she eventually forgot her purpose for standing there waiting. Eventually, when she sees the idol Kikuko on TV who looks like her rival in the past, she feels the sudden urge to become an idol once more and sing alongside Kikuko, even though she doesn't remember her rival anymore, hence her obsession towards becoming a real idol.
Appearance and Personality[]
Miss Monochrome is a very beautiful girl who leaves everyone shocked on their feet, she also has soft-grey hair that is most commonly seen in twin-tails. She sports a white breastplate with an attached choker, and what looks like white armor. Along with a black and white checkered skirt, she wears black leggings underneath white short-heeled boots.
Miss Monochrome was originally characterized as a villain who wanted to make the world monochrome. However, she seems to have given up on this plan, focusing on becoming an idol.
Being a Android, Monochrome is stern and cold at first. She rarely shows her feelings outwardly.

Her manager is Maneo, and her closest family member is Ru the Roomba.

- Miss Monochrome is a special character in the smartphone game "Girlfriend Beta", and she makes several appearances in the 2014 anime adaption as well.
